What followed was a time of soul searching and asking God to direct him. Vadim began to ask his neighbors into his home for bible study. Before long the number of people outgrew his small home and an empty store was rented on a part-time basis.
God continued to lead Vadim and the ministry continued to grow. What developed was a The Grace Church of Kirovograd that met in a large auditorium.
The services were televised to the local area, and a monthly newspaper was being printed with a circulation of over 8,000.
When I met Vadim he called his staff together and each one gave a report. I was amazed to see that his staff numbered 23 people and included young men and women who had been discipled and sent to other areas of the city as well as several villages surrounding this city of 500,000 people.
God indeed had led him and he had been obedient to God’s directions. Then in 2000 Victor Gureev, the first National Director of The Gospel Vision Foundation’s work in Ukraine, introduced us.
Vadim and Victor had served together as young men and were very close brothers. Victor told me then that I should consider adding Vadim and his group to our staff. I did and it was a very good decision. In fact I know that God led us to a divine meeting with a man of God.
Vadim served for over two years as our National Director and is now The Regional Director for Central Ukraine.
Vadim and his wife Natasha are truly used of God and I am thankful that we are not only Christian Brother and Sister, but good friends.
