Born into a Christian home March 2, 1974 Daniel accepted Christ into his heart as a young child. At the age of 10 he began to preach.
He graduated from a Technical School where he learned to build machinery and became a mechanic. But God’s call on his life led him to The Seminary of Grace in Moscow where he graduated.

As a means of supporting himself and his ministry he worked in manufacturing plants in Crimea where he had great opportunities to win souls while at work. This let to the organization of several churches in Crimea.

In 1995 he was married to Svetlana and they now have four beautiful children. Svetlana is an energetic Christian helpmate who works in the children’s ministry.

Daniel is now the pastor of The Church of Grace with 280 members in Krasnopresnenskoye, Crimea. Under his leadership they have founded the Nazareth Orphanage which cares for up to fifty children and young teens. When Shelly Coleman and Emily Oostveen ( Darrell’s Granddaughter) worked with the children there in the summer of 2005 they were impressed with the physical care, but even more with the spiritual training these youngsters had... But that’s not all. Daniel had mentioned to me at the April seminar in Frunzovka that he had developed a team of church planters an invited me to come and evaluate them as possible staff workers.

In late August I was able to meet for a day with these hand picked and well trained church planters. What I found was that these fifteen – yes (15) men were already hard at work, and using the materials The Gospel Vision Foundation  had been sending to Daniel, they were starting home groups and 6 of them already had churches ranging from 25 to 80 members.
During a break Daniel took me aside and said, "Darrell I think you can sense that these men love the Lord and are working as hard as they can for Him. Their problem is that most of them don’t even have enough money to buy food for their families. Our church helps them to the best of our ability, but you know the economics of Ukraine just now. If these men prove themselves to you, will you and can you afford to accept them onto our staff and continue to train them?"

I was overwhelmed at the prospect of adding that many new staff members at one time, but as I prayed about it I poured over the map of Crimea. Daniel’s team covered 90% of that very large area with a population of over three million people. I determined that since God had opened this door I must step through it in faith. And as of September 1, 2005 we have blanketed Crimea with missionaries who can now focus on ministry instead of how to support their families. Already I am receiving reports of many people repenting and a number of new home groups have been established.

Daniel told me that his desire was to bring people to salvation is stronger than his desire to build a particular denomination. To which I said AMEN!

Please pray for Daniel and Svetlana, their family, the church and the orphanage. We will introduce you to these new missionaries soon, but in the meantime pray for God to pour out His Spirit into them and into Crimean area of Ukraine. ~ Darrell T. Smith

Here Daniel, (second from right) is shown with a group of former drug and alcohol addicts in the half-way house we started.  Daniel’s church now has about 280 members and operates a large orphanage. (See picture at bottom.)
Daniel has also recruited and trained over 20 young church planters who live throughout the Crimean Oblast. Many of these have already started churches.

I had graduated from a machine building technical school – profession:  mechanic. Later I graduated from Moscow seminary “grace” then worked at one of the Crimean plants. I then began to organize home churches in Crimea. The Gospel Vision Foundation has been like a fresh breeze, teaching God’s love and forgiveness. I agree completely with the grace teaching and my desire to bring people to salvation is stronger than belonging to any denomination.
I thank God for your teaching and financial help in spreading of the Gospel.
God Bless you, Daniel Prebyschuk
