Oleg Tzikra
OLEG TZIKR Oleg & Oksana are both teachers. Oleg teaches physics & Oksana teaches English. They are both dedicated to Our Lord. In 2002 Oleg & Oksana bought a small house in Ternopil Oblast and did all of the remodel work themselves. Today that little church has grown and started outreach units throughout the area.Oleg is a dedicated layman who says ‘I can reach more people with the message and the love of Christ as a layman than I could from a pulpit.’ Yet he is also a very good pastor and teacher. In addition to being able to teach the children at school about Jesus, both he and Oksana work tirelessly in the fields of harvest. They live very close to Nickolai Kostyshin, our Regional Director, and they often work together in evangelism and combined baptismal services. In the summer of 2002 I participated in one such baptismal service in a small lake where 18 new Christians were baptized. After each baptism in Ukraine the new converts are allowed to partake of The Lords Supper (bread breaking). It is always a very moving service and although it was raining that day it did not dampen the spirits of these dedicated believers. |
