Personal Testimony

For the first time I heard that God can give salvation as a free gift in 1982.  My father-in-law was sentenced to death penalty  but was innocent.  He appealed to God and I remember him praying all night long confessing God his sins and asking for help. And I remember him telling God that if it's not in His will then he was ready to die and asked forgiveness for everything he did in the family and to other people.

The punishment was changed early in the morning. He had to be imprisoned for 15 years in camp as a political prisoner.  All these years he has prayed for the man who betrayed him.  I was in shock.  "How", I asked, "can you forgive the man who almost destroyed you?"

"With God everything is possible" he answered.  Now when I'm with HIM and suffer from injustice, envy and other evils from people, I forgive and I'm happy. God gives me strength and peace.
